Exciting Basketball Weekend Ahead for Olathe Pirates!
Get ready, Pirates fans! This weekend promises thrilling basketball action as our teams face off against Aspen and Gunnison. With both JV and varsity squads hitting the court, it's the perfect opportunity to show your support and cheer them on to victory.
Friday, January 10: Olathe vs. Aspen (Home Games)
The lady Pirates will kick off 2025 with their first home games of the year against against the Aspen Skiers. Aspen's basketball program has a history of competitive play, even though in recent years they have struggled.
- JV Girls: Tip-off at 4:00 PM. Our junior varsity girls are eager to showcase their skills and continue their development this season.
- Varsity Girls: Game starts at 5:30 PM. Coming off recent performances, the varsity girls are determined to secure a win and build momentum as they progress through the season.
Saturday, January 11: Olathe vs. Gunnison (Home Games)
A full day of basketball is on the agenda as both our girls' and boys' teams take on the Gunnison Cowboys. Gunnison's teams are known for their tenacity, ensuring an exciting series of games.
- JV Girls: Game at 12:00 PM. The JV girls will kick off the day's action, looking to implement their training and teamwork against a formidable opponent.
- JV Boys: Following at 1:30 PM. Our junior varsity boys are set to display their growing cohesion and competitive spirit.
- Varsity Girls: Taking the court at 3:00 PM. The varsity girls aim to leverage home-court advantage and the energy of the Pirate faithful to outplay Gunnison.
- Varsity Boys: Capping off the day at 4:30 PM. With a strong start to the season, the varsity boys are poised to deliver an intense and high-energy performance.
